Union Service / Start-Up Technician
We are looking for an experienced Service and Start-Up Technician to perform a variety of standard to moderately complex technical tasks related to starting up, maintaining and repairing HVAC systems. This is a full-time, union position.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs on commercial mechanical and electrical equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on various mechanical equipment
- Supervise and Install HVAC Equipment, VRF, Humidifiers, Economizers, Refrigeration Components, Controls (DDC)
- Perform Startups for new installs
- Other duties as management deems needed
- Expertise in Liebert equipment
Requirements:
- Knowledge of commercial mechanical and electrical systems
- Piping, Controls, HVAC Equipment, Boilers +
- Understand and read blueprints as well as equipment wiring diagrams.
- Ability to Start-up or repair HVAC system
- Valid and clean NJ Driver’s License
Education
- 7+ years of work experience in the commercial HVAC field

Position FILLED – Driver / Material Handler
We are looking for a responsible Driver / Material Handler to deliver various products promptly to job sites, pickup products from vendors, and assist with cleaning and organizing the tool/welding fabrication shop. This person will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to ensure on-going customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and/or pickup a wide variety of items to and from different addresses daily
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
- Clean, maintain, organize tool and welding shop as needed
- Other duties as management deems needed
Requirements:
- Valid, clean NJ Driver’s License~
- Ability to manage deliveries and pickups in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High school degree

Description: Renovation of Floors 12, 14 and 15 plus a new 24/7 cooling system at the 80 Park Plaza building in Newark. Renovation includes demo and fit out on all three floors. Mechanical air and hydronic systems will support the full renovation. the building mechanical systems are comprised of drycooler plants, glycol distribution piping, pumps, exhausts, indoor packaged air handling units and outdoor rooftop air handling units which will serve VAV boxes and fan-powered boxes with electric heating coils.

AMC is awarded Prudential 6 Plaza Reconstruction Project
AMC is excited to announce our latest project! Our team will be working for Bonland Industries performing all piping work for the installation of Prudential’s Level 6 upgrade. Nestled in the heart of Skyscraper Center in Newark, the Prudential building spans 2 city blocks and 24 stories high along Broad Street which makes coordination of trades critical to success of the project. AMC’s work will entail the addition of a new ceiling hung AC Unit and associated piping as well as piping and control valve upgrades to over 100 perimeter induction units.
